The UCLA LGBT Studies Program is proud to announce its second Annual Undergraduate LGBT Studies Research Symposium!

The 2015 conference will be held April 22 and will showcase the innovative LGBTQIA research produced by undergraduate students. The theme, Staging Queers: Identity, Performance, and Bodies of Entertainment will highlight the ways in which activism through performance and art has catalyzed the queering of popular culture and politics. The symposium will set the stage for presenters to focus on queer topics that spotlight challenges to heteronormative structures that work to appropriate, exoticize, and (mis) represent, the queer body. Please continue checking this website and follow us on Twitter @QScholarsUCLA for the most up to date information on the development of the symposium.
